GMTK 2019 - Bag of Holding


Completing my first game jam of the year, I did the GMTK Game Jam. The theme was Only One. I took that under the concept of an RPG with their inventory system, like a backpack where you could only have one item in your bag at a time. Building on that concept, I pushed the boundaries of what an 'item' was and basically allowed it to be anything in the game except the water, law enforcement, and bridges. 


Getting the coding to work was the easier part, it was the art that I dump a lot (probably an excessive amount) of time in. I had plans to create 21 unique characters all modeled and rigged. I ended up getting through about 16 and 4 of them were cut since I didn't have time to get them in. Overall, I do like the style of art I chose in this one. 


I will probably update this game with all of the glitches and bugs worked out of it, but with how big of a scope I took on for this jam, I was pretty pleased with how it turned out!
